Perrier-Jouet – Perrier-Jouet Blason Rose Champagne
Celebrating a birthday with at lovely today. I’m raising a glass of that perennially reliable Champagne, – the one in the stunning floral bottle. It made a marvellous accompaniment to the superb spinach soufflé and a perfectly cooked skate wing. All served up with the pizazz you’d expect from a Mayfair classic. I’ve been coming here for decades ( I even sold wine to Peter Langan himself, back in the day) – and it never disappoints.

About this Vineyard
Founded by the young couple Pierre-Nicolas Perrier and Rose Adelaide Jouet in Epernay, Perrier-Jouet is one of Champagne’s most storied and romantic houses. Its iconic Belle Epoque bottle, adorned with hand-painted Japanese anemones designed by Art Nouveau master Emile Galle, is one of the most recognisable in the wine world. With 65 hectares of vineyards classified at an extraordinary 99.2% on the Champagne scale, and the appointment of Severine Frerson as the first female cellar master, this is a house that honours its heritage while always looking forward.
