Plaimont Producteurs

Yes – it’s Friday! So seize a bottle ((or two) of rosé and start planning that sunny weekend. Head to for this affordable French wine produced in the southwestern region of Gascony- legendary home of the 3 Musketeers and Armagnac but also the source of delightfully drinkable pink wine. This one has a cranberry zing and comes from the house of Plaimont- the top name of the region. Sit back, relax and relish this fresh and flavourful pink. I award it 17 points.

About this Vineyard

Born from the union of three cooperatives in the Gers – Plaisance, Aignan and Saint-Mont, whose initials spell out the name – Plaimont Producteurs is the driving force behind the wines of South West France. Under the visionary leadership of founder Andre Dubosc, this union of 600 winegrowers revived the Saint Mont appellation, relaunched Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh, and now represents 98% of AOC Saint Mont production. They are passionate custodians of heritage, protecting rare pre-phylloxera vineyards including a 200-year-old vine classified as a Historic Monument, and operating France’s first private ampelographic conservatory to safeguard ancient grape varieties.
