Waitrose (own label) – Waitrose Moschofilero Rose
Following my rose theme, may I present a truly extraordinary pink wine that- actually has an aroma of Turkish delight! This remarkable Greek wine demands to be sampled. Apparently these special grapes from the Peloponnese are naturally pink skinned. The flavour is quite intense and would pair well with any Mediterranean mezze assortment. I tasted it with a stylish focaccia made by my daughter, I award this wine 17.5 points.

About this Vineyard
Waitrose has built one of the most respected wine ranges on the British high street, guided by more Masters of Wine than any other supermarket. Their own-label tiers – Blueprint for classic styles, Loved & Found for adventurous grape discoveries, and the premium No.1 range – are all curated by an award-winning buying team and exclusive to Waitrose. The retailer’s commitment to discovering unusual varieties like Moschofilero, Viorica and Touriga Franca for their own-label range has seen sales of own-brand wines rise by 71% in recent quarters.
