Ramon Bilbao – Ramon Bilbao Rosado
I love to make my Spanish fish stew for a family group on a holiday weekend. There’s hot pimento involved- so what style of wine will work? Spanish rosado is perfect- especially when it’s great value This dry pink has a cranberry and pomegranate zing that cuts through the spicy sauce. I award it 18 points.

About this Vineyard
Founded by the enterprising Don Ramon Bilbao Murga in the historic town of Haro, Bodegas Ramon Bilbao has spent a century at the beating heart of Rioja winemaking. Now owned by the Zamora Company and led by the talented winemaker Rodolfo Bastida, the estate cultivates over 200 hectares of Tempranillo vines aged 40 years and older across Rioja, and has expanded into Rueda for its whites. Named Best Spanish Winery by the International Wine & Spirit Competition and a fixture on the ’50 Most Admired Wine Brands in the World’ list, this is a bodega that marries tradition with restless innovation.
