Ballarin
Spring is in the air- and this lovely bottle looks celebratory ! Ballarin are leaders in production of quality Cremant de Bordeaux, indeed the family virtually created this AOC. Made by the Traditional Method – like Champagne- this fizz offers a hint of brioche on the nose as well as berry fruit and a gentle, warm finish. I award it 17 points.

About this Vineyard
Alberto Ballarin (formerly Cascina Ballarin) is a small, family-owned estate in La Morra, in the heart of Piedmont’s Langhe region, that has been in the hands of the Viberti family. Now in its fourth generation, the winery works eight hectares of vineyards and is best known for its Barolo, alongside Barbera d’Alba, Dolcetto d’Alba, and Langhe wines. Their philosophy is beautifully simple: wine is one of life’s greatest pleasures, so it must be made with care, passion, and respect for the land.
