Squealing Pig – Squealing Pig Rose

Brand new and shiny (2024 vintage of course, we are Down Under!) this affordable Squealing Pig rosé comes from a stable (? piggery) of wines from an entrepreneurial producer. Starting with a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc they now offer a repertoire of wine made across continents. This one’s from South Australia and is intended to be drunk young and fresh, zesty and fruity. Does it fit the bill? It certainly does – with an elegant sufficiency of summer fruit on the nose and a citrus zing on the finish. I award it 16.5 points.

About this Vineyard

Squealing Pig is a playful, multi-country wine brand owned by Treasury Wine Estates, one of the world’s largest wine companies and the Australian powerhouse behind Penfolds and 19 Crimes. Launched as TWE’s first multi-origin range for the UK market, Squealing Pig sources wines from some of the world’s finest regions: Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, Chardonnay from Padthaway in South Australia, Malbec from Mendoza, and more. It’s a brand designed to make approachable, fruit-forward wines that are perfect for everyday drinking.
