Sea Change – Sea Change Prosecco D.O.C. Rose
I don’t know about you but at this time of the year I always yearn for the sea- the open beach, the long horizons…. And next week I’ll be in Cornwall for a few restful days, gathering energy before the onset of autumn. Sea Change Wine also loves the ocean – and like us all they are sad to see plastic pollution. Their charming, frisky pink Prosecco (only 11%) is packaged with no plastic capsule, a real cork in the bottle and a label partly produced from grape waste. I award it 16.5 points. Serve with crab, scallops or crayfish.

About this Vineyard
Sea Change is a brilliantly purposeful UK wine brand, born when founders Bill, Toby, Simon and Ian turned a conversation about plastic washing up on the shores of British Columbia into a mission to help protect the world’s oceans. For every bottle sold, the company donates a minimum of 25 euro cents to ocean conservation partners including Ocean Generation and Sea-Changers, and by they had reached a remarkable milestone of 500,000 euros donated. The wines are sourced from eco-conscious vineyards in France and Italy, and each bottle features hand-drawn illustrations of marine animals with plastic inside them – a powerful reminder of why every sip matters.
