Château du Rouët – Château du Rouët Côtes de Provence Rosé 2023

Once upon a time there was a quirky magazine called the Reader’s Digest- it was immensely popular all over the world and only ceased publication in the UK this year – after 86 years! Why am I telling you this? Because – my absolute go to guide for recipes is The Cookery Year. A marvellous compendium of culinary knowledge published by …. Reader’s Digest. I urge you all to seek out a 2nd hand copy. Today I shall be making that seasonal classic – Summer Pudding, a simple yet irresistible combination of berries and bread. And what to accompany? Another classic- Côtes de Provence pink – with orange ‘reflets’, typical of the Grenache grape. This full and ripe wine is priced at under £10 so I urge you to buy a few at your local CoOp. I award it 17.5
