Familia Torres – Torres Rose
He makes red, white and rosé wines all over the world – may I present to you the marvellous Miguel Torres who is still going strong in his 80s. The occasion today was a fascinating review organised by International Wineries for Climate Action. Using strategies like reuse of vine prunings to feed boilers or make labels, reducing bottle weight and adapting to hardier grape varieties this passionate group of wine producers are setting a fine example.

About this Vineyard
Familia Torres is one of Spain’s great wine dynasties, with roots in Penedes dating back generations and a winery founded by brothers Jaime and Miguel Torres Vendrell. The family rebuilt from the ashes of the Spanish Civil War, and their Cabernet Sauvignon famously outperformed some of Bordeaux’s finest grand crus at the Gault-Millau Wine Olympics in Paris. Now led by the fifth generation, with vineyards across Spain, Chile, and California, Torres has been named the world’s most admired wine brand seven times by Drinks International — and their commitment to becoming carbon-neutral by 2040 is as bold as their wines.
