Folc

Here you have a highly sophisticated blend of 7 varieties – a very posh and award-winning English wine from Folc. The grapes include all 3 used to produce sparkling wine and the versatile Bacchus which lends an agreeable softness. It’s a Peach Melba of a wine, in my opinion best served chilled as an aperitif, sipped with friends. I award it 17.5 points.

About this Vineyard

Folc was founded by Elisha Rai and Tom Cannon, born during England’s first lockdown and inspired by a love of community — the name comes from the Old English word for ‘people’ or ‘tribe.’ Working as a modern negociant, Folc carefully selects grapes from premier vineyards across Kent, Sussex, Suffolk, and Essex, blending seven varieties including Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, and Bacchus to create elegant English rose.
