Croser (Petaluma) – Croser NV Rosé
As the ineffable Paul Giamatti said in Sideways: ‘Pinot Noir needs constant care and attention. You know? And in fact it can only grow in these really specific, little, tucked away corners of the world’…. He has a point. This impressive Aussie example of 100% PN absolutely nails it. Because it is produced by the traditional method and includes vintage reserve wine from the same grape. On the nose there is ripe loganberry, mulberry and pomegranate with warm brioche hints on the palate. Superb with your festive turkey and a truly versatile gastronomic sparkler. I award it 18.5 points.
