Monrouby – Grenache Rose

On an icy day in Bath my heart was gladdened by a glass of rosé with a ruby tint and an earthy Grenache warmth on the finish. Who says only red wine can warm you? After a relaxing moment my lunch was and this Languedoc pink would make an excellent pair for Thai food too. Also recommend an excellent light drenched exhibition of works by English artists old and new

About this Vineyard

Reserve de Monrouby is produced by Les Costieres de Pomerols, a cooperative winery in the Cotes de Thau appellation of the Languedoc, where low-lying hills meet the shimmering Bassin de Thau and gentle sea breezes keep the vines cool and stress-free. The rose is a southern French blend of Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, and Cinsault, crafted to capture the bright, sun-ripened fruit character of this Mediterranean corner of France. It is a lovely, unpretentious wine from a terroir where the lakes and the sea conspire to produce something quietly special.
