Chateau Gassier – Esprit de Gassier Rose

What to drink with delicious light dishes featuring tricky ingredients? Provence Rosé of course. This Esprit de Gassier is fearless in face of an onslaught of coriander, lime, pomegranate, beet and … pickled walnut!

About this Vineyard

Chateau Gassier is a 40-hectare organic estate in the heart of the Cru Sainte-Victoire, surrounded by the majestic Sainte-Victoire mountain and just 30 kilometres from the Mediterranean. The Gassier family, now in its fifth generation with Georges Gassier at the helm, has farmed these vineyards since the estate was acquired and revitalised by the Jeanjean and Gassier families. Their flagship Cuvee 946 rose – named for the altitude of the Croix de Provence atop the mountain – is harvested at night, fermented in Austrian Stockinger oak demi-muids, and produced in tiny quantities that are well worth seeking out.
