Ricasoli – Albia Rose

Imagine- a pink wine that works perfectly with English village cricket. And is also classy. That is this delightful Tuscan rosé from Ricasoli. A sophisticated combination of Merlot and Sangiovese, it offers dried apricots and a hint of of musk rose on the nose and a crisp, almost citrus finish. So why wait- hasten to acquire a bottle or two and make the most of our early English summer.

About this Vineyard

Barone Ricasoli is not just Italy’s oldest winery – it is one of the oldest businesses in the entire world, with the family’s ownership of Brolio Castle in Chianti dating back generations. It was the legendary ‘Iron Baron’ Bettino Ricasoli, who also served twice as Prime Minister of the newly unified Italy, who devised the original formula for Chianti Classico. Today, the 32nd Baron, Francesco Ricasoli, oversees 1,200 hectares of estate including 235 hectares of vines in the communes of Gaiole and Castelnuovo Berardenga, continuing nearly nine centuries of winemaking tradition with a renewed focus on quality and Sangiovese-driven excellence.
