Vineyards Juicy Rose
So – here it comes – another heatwave? And maybe barbecues. Or mass catering for unexpected hordes of friends? How about a pink wine at an almost illegally inexpensive price? How does £3.39 sound to you? Yes I know most of this is actually tax and duty but somehow Tesco have finagled it. Seize the moment. Put lots of this on ice and enjoy unashamedly. It’s produced from grapes grown on the vast plains (and some hills) of La Mancha in Spain. Don Quixote country. At only 10% alcohol it should be insipid – but I would take a tilt at a windmill after a glass or two. The simplest of fruit flavours with ripe plum predominating, sufficient acidity. Bring on the paella – and the sunshine. Relax.
