Vignobles Borie – Les Hauts de Sainte Innocence Rose

September in France- beautiful Indian summer days and local Bergerac rosé made with Malbec and Merlot. The nose is redolent of cranberry and cream- a perfect ‘foodie’ wine with local duck or quiche- or late figs and goat cheese. Ps DM me if you are looking for a lovely French property as this is for sale.

About this Vineyard

Vignobles Borie is a family estate based at Chateau La Foret in the tiny commune of Sainte-Innocence in the Dordogne, producing wines under the AOC Bergerac and Cotes de Bergerac appellations. Their ‘Les Hauts de Sainte Innocence’ range, trademarked by Herve Borie, includes red, rose and moelleux (sweet white) wines crafted from classic South West France varieties including Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Semillon. It’s a small, quietly impressive domaine in the heart of Bergerac country – a region that has been shipping wines to England since special privileges were granted by Henry III.
