Taittinger – Taittinger Prestige Rose Brut

Time to enter the capsule – if you dare!? One side effect of the pandemic has been the proliferation of these marvellous igloos all over our land so we can sip our Taittinger Brut Rosé without weather intervention and with friends. This sophisticated pink charmer has strong structure, an assertive colour and enough oomph to match even the smokiest of barbecue. Alternatively just grab a glass, a good book – and enjoy your own company.

About this Vineyard

Taittinger traces its roots to, when Jacques Fourneaux founded the house working alongside Benedictine monks in Reims, making it one of the three oldest champagne houses in existence. Pierre Taittinger acquired the firm, drawn back to the Chateau de la Marquetterie where he had been hospitalised during World War I, and the family has fiercely guarded its independence ever since – even buying the house back after a brief corporate sale -. Now led by Vitalie Taittinger as president, this remains one of the few family-owned grandes marques, famed for its elegant, Chardonnay-driven style and the magnificent Comtes de Champagne cuvee, produced from 100% Grand Cru Chardonnay.
