About this Vineyard

Purato is the brainchild of Stefano Girelli, a third-generation winemaker and one of Italy’s leading advocates of sustainable viticulture, who founded TWP Wines with partner Peter Kosten to champion organic Sicilian winemaking. The name means ‘pure’ in Italian, and the wines live up to it: certified organic, 100% vegan, and carbon neutral, with bottles made from at least 80% recycled glass. Sourced from organic vineyards in Trapani on Sicily’s sun-drenched western coast, the range showcases the island’s finest varieties including Nero d’Avola and Grillo.
