Paul Mas – Le Rose Bio 2022
A last mouthful of summer? This ripely fragrant organic pink has warmth and delectable fruit in abundance. With Grenache and Syrah in the mix it offers up peachy notes and a touch of welcome acidity on the finish. Another demonstration of how versatile the pink wines of Languedoc can be. With its softer styling I would propose you pair this wine with korma curry or creamy mushroom pasta to taste its best. Serve well chilled. I award it 16.5 points.

About this Vineyard
Domaines Paul Mas is the ambitious project of Jean-Claude Mas, a fourth-generation Languedoc vigneron who named the estate after his father and set out to prove that the south of France could rival anywhere in the world for quality. Starting from an 86-acre family plot first acquired by great-grandfather Auguste near Pezenas, Jean-Claude has expanded to seventeen estates and 2,400 acres across Languedoc-Roussillon, producing 25 million bottles a year exported to over 80 countries. All vineyards are certified HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale), with 30% fully organic, and the portfolio spans crowd-pleasers like Arrogant Frog to the elegant Cote Mas and single-estate wines.
