Domaine de Montrose / Libai – Domaine de Montrose Rose / Libai Rose
At the excellent Experience Le Sud event in London yesterday with the invaluable Su Lin Ong. The Naval & Military Club was once the home of the formidable Lady Nancy Astor and the elegant decor made a great showcase for this comprehensive range of wines from Southern France available in the UK. Much to enjoy in the pink selection, including simple supermarket wines and grading upward to those seen on Michelin starred lists.

About this Vineyard
Domaine de Montrose has been a fixture of the Languedoc since the 16th century, and has been lovingly tended by the Coste family for nine generations. The estate’s coat of arms — three lizards, granted to ancestor Joseph Alazard — adorns every bottle. Rose is their signature colour, and the domaine farms an extraordinary mix of terroirs including clay-limestone, Villafranchian terraces, and even volcanic soils from an ancient volcano, which gives their wines a truly distinctive personality. Impressively, the estate has been carbon neutral.
