Clos Cantenac (Charlotte Krajewski)

Time to review the reviews.

Which pink wines did I really enjoy in 2021?

Among the finer examples, I loved Elegance by Clos Cantenac and the rosé from Château de la Jaubertie.

And I was very pleasantly surprised by the affordable Fronton supermarket rosé and the very drinkable Kylie pink from the south of France.

But…. These are all French!

I need to diversify in 2022. Please do send me suggestions for some wines from other regions you admire….

About this Vineyard

This enchanting six-hectare Saint-Emilion property was purchased by Martin Krajewski and his friend Marcus Le Grice, who immediately set about renovating its 200-year-old winery., Martin’s daughter Charlotte has taken the reins as Technical Director and Chief Winemaker, bringing a wealth of international experience from stints at Groot Constantia, Tyrrell’s, and several New Zealand estates. With vineyards planted on deep gravel, sand, and clay over limestone, Clos Cantenac is fast becoming one of Bordeaux’s most exciting rising stars.
