Chateau Miraval
In the same stable with fabled Beaucastel and Miraval (yes the one with Hollywood connections) is this simple yet honourable offering from the house of Perrin. Born of grapes from the southern Rhône it’s a pink with remarkable personality at a supermarket price. There are berry fruits on the nose and a smooth finish with a faint hint of spice. Try it with Asian cuisine or enjoy with seasonal mushroom dishes. I award it 17 points.

About this Vineyard
With roots stretching back to a 13th-century monastery in the Provencal village of Correns, Chateau Miraval rocketed to global fame when Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie purchased the estate and partnered with the Perrin family of Chateauneuf-du-Pape’s Chateau de Beaucastel to produce their debut rose. that vintage sold out within hours of release, and Miraval has been one of the world’s most recognised rose brands ever since.
