Abbotts & Delaunay

Anyone for tennis? Classy pink to sip while watching Wimbledon- Les Graves- a complex rendition of 100% Pinot Noir from the Languedoc. This intriguing rosé is a new wine from Abbotts et Delaunay and it’s full of surprises – like the finest tennis players. There’s a herbal, liquorice tang on the palate with a twist of citrus to finish. I award this wine 19 points. Game, set and match.

About this Vineyard

Born from the meeting of Australian oenologist Nerida Abbott and Burgundian winemaker Laurent Delaunay, Abbotts & Delaunay was created in Marseillette near Carcassonne and reimagined when the Delaunay family took the reins. Their approach is inspired by Burgundy – meticulous vineyard management, refined technique, and a constant pursuit of freshness and balance – applied to the sun-drenched terroirs of the Languedoc. Now led by Jeanne Delaunay, the house works with passionate growers tending rare, exceptional parcels planted with old vines sometimes over a hundred years old.
